Annual Practising Certificates Update - 12 April 2021

Tēnā koe,
Congratulations to all paramedics who have already registered with Te Kaunihera Manapou – Paramedic Council. We are pleased to report that around seven hundred paramedics are now registered, and the numbers are increasing steadily.

Registration is essential if you are practising as a paramedic. If you have not commenced the registration process, please click here to create your MyPMC account.

Annual Practising Certificate (APC)

Over the coming weeks, we will be opening applications for Annual Practising Certificates.

Once you are registered, and if you are currently practising as a paramedic, it will be a requirement for you obtain an Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
An Annual Practising Certificate confirms your fitness and competence to practise as a Paramedic and is a mandatory requirement in New Zealand. Your APC will need to be renewed every year before the current one expires.

The application for an APC will be completed online through the MyPMC portal, and it will be your responsibility as a paramedic to ensure that this is renewed.  The APC annual renewal date will be April 1st every year.

Once you obtain your APC, you will be able to confirm your practising status by going to Te Kaunihera Manapou website and clicking on the ‘Register of Practising Paramedics’.

When APC applications are ready to go, we will release more information via email and on our website. If you have any questions about registration or APCs, please get in touch with us at [email protected].

Ngā mihi nui,

Catherine Byrne | Registrar
