Kia ora kouotu

Thank you for your patience after we advised, in late January, that we needed to defer opening registration to address some IT issues.

We originally set a highly ambitious timeframe for deployment of the database, and, in hindsight, should have planned more time for the testing phase.

We have been working through the issues with our IT provider.  Unfortunately, the main cause of the delay is a global issue with the platform itself – which affected multiple databases worldwide (including other regulators in New Zealand).  That said, we have been receiving regular activity updates from the IT provider and we are satisfied that we are approaching a resolution.  At this stage, however, we are unable to give you a new opening date.

We know that paramedics have been waiting many years to become registered health professionals. We apologise for the delay and ask for your continued patience for a little longer, so we can ensure that, when registration opens, it is a smooth process for all involved.

In the meantime, please visit our website to commence the organisation of the source documents that you will require for registration.

Ngā mihi
